It comes with great sadness that I have come to the conclusion that I can’t, at the moment at least, carry on with the comic. It is NOT cancelled, just postponed for a while. There are various factors, the biggest one being exams that starts next week Friday. I am stressing so much and I can’t handle everything. I have to kind of concentrate on exams now, because they are my end of year exams and this is my last year of high school. That’s why it’s better to continue with The Secret Project after the exam, it is so that I can fully concentrate on the comic…(while concentrating on other stuff as well).

Another reason I am postponing the comic is that I want to gain more experience. I have just looked at my previous sketches of Alex & co. and I realized that I did come a long way, but I’m not quite there. I am still having huge anatomy problems and it’s going to result badly for the comic if I can’t draw their bodies properly. I will still draw, but not on the comic. I need the practice break.

I will post stuff on deviantART. The link should be there —>, but if it’s not then it’s here… I have become strangely addicted to deviantART. It is so awesome there. All the art is just inspiring and motivational.

I promise that when the exams are over and I have acquired the required experience, then I will go on with The Secret Project. The story keeps growing in my head and I get excited every time that I think about it…

You could be thinking “What is wrong?”, and I’ll tell you what is wrong, school, lack of precious time and constant need to doodle. It’s all because of those things that I WON”T be able to make a comic update this week. I had to postpone it to next week. Why? It has come to that point in my life that I can barely do something that I find fun, it’s just work, work, WORK!!! I apologize beforehand. I don’t want to rush the next update and give you a 1/4-hearted attempt. I would rather make a nice page, where I know it’s not that rushed… Always thinking of you … Also I’m having problems with anatomy and body positions on the 4th panel, might be a while for me to fix that…

Just because I can’t do the update for tomorrow, doesn’t mean I’m not doing anything. I do update my deviantART profile quite often and I must say that I am EXTREMELY addicted to deviantART!!! It’s just so AMAZING!!! Go check out devinatART if you haven’t already…

This IS the most depressing post of my life, because exams are coming up and the good new is only a tiny paragraph long… so sad …

I’m so so so so so so so sorry for the delayed comic update! The reason I’m so sorry is because I could’ve updated earlier today if I wasn’t lazy. The first reason was that I had an English oral thing to do, which I got an 85% for, and it messed with my comic time. Another reason is that I went to movies (which I will mention again later on)… GRRRR!!!! And the next reason is that I was… doodling!!! WHY?!

That’s enough venting for now…

My oral presentation went quite well. It went over 15 minutes, which is probably the longest presentation that I have EVER done in my life! People actually enjoyed it, well I hope so, as I kept them in break. The topic was comics (obviously) and I got the chance to show some of my drawings. There was only one problem, and that is a certain little manga-lover criticized  my drawings. She called my drawing fake manga… WHAT THE HECK?!!! FAKE?!!! I wanted to attack her for that, but I kept my cool. It made me mad, that’s why I just want to clear something with everyone. My style IS influenced by manga and their conventions, BUT I don’t intend on copying someone else’s style and calling it my own. I also don’t trace, that is a MAJOR insult!!! I don’t draw a certain way just because manga seems to be a more popular comic-type/style/form, I draw the way I do, because I am comfortable with it. I SUCK at drawing realistically or other realism-based style. I also like the idea of talking animals that look like humans. Please, for the love of everything that is good in the world, don’t insult my drawings! You can have you’re opinion, but don’t be rude about it…

Inception Poster... AWESOME!!!

The movie that I went to watch is Inception. That must be the best movie that I have EVER seen! I seriously want to watch it again. Leo is such a convincing actor and Christopher Nolan is my new favorite director and scriptwriter. I really can’t describe what the movie was like, but it’s something close to utter brilliance. If you haven’t seen it yet, THEN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!! Go watch it! It’ll make your make your mind explode with it’s awesomness! I’m seriously considering making a fan-art thing with Alex as Leo in the Inception poster…That’ll be epic!

I have to back to going on with my normal life, but I will be working on the next comic update which will be released on Saturday, I have no choice.

I’m sorry to announce that the comic page will once again be delayed. This time it is due to homework, or my inability to organize my life properly. I’m actually half finished with the next page, but it’s not yet finished. I think it’s better, for now, that I update only on Saturdays. It’s exam time and I won’t have enough time during the week. I hate writing these posts of my delays. They feel like I’m making too many excuses. Grrrrr… Hopefully after the exams I’ll be able to continue as normal, but now it’s a bit hectic in my life.

That’s right! I’m back from a wonderful trip to Cape Town. It was truly amazing! I wish I can go back there. I was born there, but we left when I was 7, so I miss Cape Town a lot. It was nice to see Cape Town again. I wasn’t alone. Two of my friends came with me, Tanya and Lee. We stayed at my Aunt’s house, while we went to the Stellenbosch open day. It was simply amazing!!! I can’t wait to study at Stellenbosch next year… If you’d like to see photo’s you can either go on facebook if your my friend or you can wait until I get the photo’s. Tanya has them and has put them on facebook, but I don’t have them.

Anyway…

NEWS FLASH!!! I just want you all to know. On Saturday, I drew what is probably the best hand I ever drew! I was like: Wow! I don’t brag much, but I’m just so happy that the hand came out how I wanted it to. Thanks Roxanne and Shelly who told me to keep practicing…

I feels like forever that I wrote here, but now I can write, because I have time. My life feel like one big train smash after the other. There’s always something happening and something nagging at me in a distance. Such as my trial exams that are starting in September. I am stressing so much for them as they, unfortunately, determine my future. I’ve also got a drama exam coming up before that, but luckily I trust my group to work hard with me that we can get this together. I am also taking part in a talent competition that is taking place at the Vodadome in Midrand, It’s awfully exciting and nerve-wrecking.

I am so excited for this weekend! I’m going to Stellenbosch for their open day! I’m missing school to go there. It’s so exciting, because it is a beautiful campus and I’m probably going to study there.

Luckily I am a bit ahead of schedule, so when you read this post, I will probably have finished the next page and it will be ready for Friday. The next page does have a freaky twist to it at the end and will most definitely leave everyone with question that I can’t answer yet. I’m one of those people that doesn’t really want to spoil everything. This is also the last post before the next page. I will only be able to post something again on Saturday, because that is when I return from Stellenbosch.

I also got Skype the other day. My family use it to talk with my uncle that sits in England, so I thought “What the heck, I might need it…”. I just need a new webcam and microphone, which I hope to buy in Cape Town…

I don’t really have other news, but I will be back with pretty pictures from Stellenbosch!

As I close the second week back at school, I feel really tired. I have worked a lot on TSP and have done a lot of homework. Luckily athletics trials are over and now I can say that I suck at athletics. Just put me on a stage and I’m at home.

As you can see, or hopefully going to find out now, there is an update on TSP, which you can check out and then vote for at the side of the page or the vote button at the bottom (If you don’t see the incentive, then you haven’t voted yet.). This  page is the page which I have worked the hardest on. If only you could see how much work actually went into it.

Also, I’m going to update everything else this weekend. This includes a new banner to some pretty pieces on my deviantArt page. It’s about time that I do something to make it look more professional. I’ve already updated my twitter page with a new backdrop.

If you’re reading this, then I’m still alive and school hasn’t killed me yet. It’s been a very tough week and it feels like my body wants to collapse. I had to do an oral and a monologue in one week. Usually it’s not that bad, but I haven’t felt this tired in a long while. We also have to do Athletics trials everyday ’till 5 in the afternoon. Luckily I ALWAYS come last, so I’m rest assured that I didn’t make the team, which is a huge relief. No one wants to be in the team.

I have made the 4th page of the comic. It’s one of those pivotal moments-things. The 2nd panel is just haunting me, because it took me about two hours just to get the mouth right. I hate it when I can’t draw the appropriate mouth. The mouth is simple, yet very sneaky. There’s also something abouth the arms in the first panel, but what the heck… I like the “AAAAH!!!”, but I can’t yet reveal what exactly happens there. It isn’t even explained in the next comic (shouldn’t have told you that)…

I’m back from the weekend with my family on my dad’s side. The thing that made it special was that my relatives from America came to visit. Usually I don’t really look forward to family get-together’s, but this was an exception. It was so nice to see them again. I haven’t seen my cousins from America for years. My uncle works for Pixar, so we got nice gifts. I got a cool Pixar cap and a legendary Pixar poster with Woody and Buzz from “Toy Story”… It’s AWESOME!!! The weekend was also filled with less screaming than I thought it would be.
